Blog entry Aegir moved to a new server
A new install has been performed of Aegir on a new server (ceres.koumbit.net) in an attempt to improve performance and launch the service in production, at least internally.
THIS SERVER HERE (hostmaster.koumbit.net) IS NOW DEPRECATED. It may be wiped or destroyed as it has become a testing and development environment for Aegir.
All changes applied to modules touching the Aegir platform should go through this server before being applied in production. New features should also be developped or at the very least tested here before being applied in production.
The canonical URL to reach the real site is https://aegir.koumbit.net/ (notice the SSL).
The sites that were installed on the old server will cease to function by wednesday april 29th when the wildcards will be migrated to this server.

Blog entry New input filters in place
Following an excellent suggestion from Omar on Identica, I have enabled three new modules (Markdown, Typogrify and Geshifilter) that provide handy input filters for content on all hostmaster sites (only for the Drupal 5 platform for now).

We have a few wildcards that point to this server and that can be used by Koumbit workers to quickly setup test and development sites. Here are the URLs:

The other aliases now point to the new server.
Blog entry Aegir 0.1 released
So our first release came out! Of course, this platform has been updated to follow the latest release, so don't hesitate to report bugs in the Drupal.org trackers if you find any. You can read the release notes for more information. Note that 0.2 has been under rapid development recently, with new exciting features like upgrades so I may update this platform again to follow the latest development, or I may also create a separate server to test the new milestone before deployment here.
Blog entry DNS modules activated, DNS support almost ready
I have activated the DNS modules. This should affect your work too much, except on site creation, which may fail if there's a bug in the DNS subsystem. I have tested it and it seems to work properly, but do not count on it just yet. (ie. continue following the directives on how to configure DNS externally.)

I think I fixed the cronjob, the module simply wasn't enabled. However, there's still issues with cron jobs on hostmaster..
